Russian Watches - Scammer list

This post is about scammers found in auction sites such as Meshok and Avito. What motivates me is the recent encounters on the site, especially this year after Covid happened, more and more scammers showing up in such auction sites (even previous legitimate sellers turning bad). On the other hands, popular site such as Meshok is crazy, as it doesn't offer buyer protection so any purchase is on your own risk. On top of that, suspended seller can still sell their stuffs which is not making sense.

Few tips to identify the scammers -

  • Newly registered seller.
  • Cheap sales.
  • Seller never sell watches but suddenly have rare watches to sell.

Few techniques used by scammers -

  • Delay postage of the items.
  • Send wrong items. (cheap stuffs for expensive sales)
  • Delete negative comments in their sales.
  • Block user from posting comments in their sales.
  • Delete the sales items once money is paid.
  • Refuse Avito delivery but direct payment to their bank card. (buyer protection)

Few tips to identify legitimate sellers -

  • The seller has good review.
  • The seller never remove the sales after the item is sold, you can find it in sold items of seller.

I will update the link here from time to time, especially when the scammer is found. If this thing is growing then I will consider using Google Sheets to manage.

  • Seller Futura1, read negative review here . This seller tends to delete negative review about himself, as the silly Meshok allows seller to delete buyer review.

Crazy time!
